What is Mammoth Ivory? Is it legal?
Mammoth Ivory or Mastodon Ivory is fossilized from an extinct mammal similar to that of an Elephant (but larger). The Woolly Mammoth Mammuthus primigenius has been extinct for at least 10,000 years. They originated in Alaska and Russia. Their now fossilized Ivory tusks are a very rare and precious material, buried deep within the permafrost. The Mammoth has a rich historical and antique value. The quality of Mammoth tusk is as good as Elephant Ivory. While saving lives of modern living giants. Because of this Mammoth Ivory is 100% legal to export internationally without CITES or other paperwork.

Ivory Care
Mammoth Ivory is sensitive to temperature & humidity and will adjust to the weather conditions as it breathes. Harsh fluctuations and extreme conditions will have an adverse effect on the Ivory as it expands and contracts. In excessive cases the Ivory can crack and split as the result of stress. -Every effort has been taken to select the finest Ivory that is free of imperfections and that was properly acclimatized for several years out of the ground. To protect the Ivory; I recommend that twice a year, mineral oil be rubbed onto the ivory to replenish its oils. The included Renaissance Wax may also be used when the Ivory needs a protective polished shine.

If you care for the ivory in the way I describe, it should last a very long time. There are considerable amounts of Ivory in the world that have survived for centuries. It just needs a little care, like anything else of value.

DO NOT:
-Get the Ivory wet
-Get ink on the ivory
-Let the pen sit in direct sunlight
-Allow the pen to freeze or get hot to the touch
-Expose the pen to harsh swings in humidity and or temperature
